Sat - Nov. 24, 17 Special detail at Q.M. all morning take the train to portland at noon got in Portland at 6:15 call Berniece go home for supper. take the 11:35 train to Newberg. Berniece meets us with the machine go up to the house. go to bed about 2:30. A.M. |
Sun - Nov. 25, 1917 got up about 7 A.M. ate breakfast, helped Berniece bake a cake. she played music for us. I made a wish on Berniece's ring which didn't exactly come true, but I promised I would tell it to her next time. We all went to Newberg in the machine to the 6:50 train. Oh, yes. B & I made some bug juice in the afternoon too. got to Portland at 8:00 P.M. Walked around town with mother took the train for Camp Lewis at 11 P.M. |
