Thu - April 4, 1918
take exercise first,
then quarentine is
lifted. go out fishing
all day awfully hot, but
we have a good time
though. catch 4 small
trout and throw them
back. get back just in
time for supper rather
tired though.
Fri - April 5, 1918
drill awhile, then get
paid. work on the new
ball field all afternoon.
come back to the barracks
and eat supper & start
for Portland. mail a
letter to Berniece
get to Po._ at 11:30 go home.



Sat - Apr. 6, 1918
get up and get ready
for the parade (1) try to
call up Berniece several
times & failed. march
in the parade and
then start to Dundee.
I am on the train now
got to the house and found
I was badly disappointed
as B_ had went to Ballston
& I didn't get to see her.

Sun - April 7, '18
get up about 9 o'clock had
breakfast went to Newberg
with Francis come back &
reline the brakes on old
max, go fishing, call
Berniece on long distance and
couldn't understand her
so I take the train...
