Sat - April 13, 18
my ankle is alright again
now. stand inspection
this morning. go to
Seattle had supper with
Mr. & Mrs. Thompson take in
a dance but it was so
crowded I didn't stay long.

Sun - April 14, 18
got up at 9 o'clock, eat
breakfast look around
a while & decide to go
back to camp. leave on
the noon boat. Haven't
got a letter from Berniece
since I came back from
Portland. write to her
tonight, go to the library
and get a book & read.



Mon - April 15, 18
Exercise, drill, and lecture
on conservation of every-
thing by the major.
no letter from Berniece
yet. read awhile this
evening the book "The Rosary" (1)
I understand why B_
likes the song "My Rosary"
and know that I will
like it too now. go to
bed early.
Tue - April 16, '18
out on an all day hike
rain nearly all day our
mail was brought out at
noon, and I got a letter
from Berniece & mother.
get to the barracks at
4:40 awfully tired answered
B_ letter & went to
bed after the train left.
