Fri - Jan. 11, 18 drill a while, lecture a while write to Berniece & mailed it cold and rainy. Sat - Jan. 12, 18 inspection, then field meet with with 364 & 361. We won by 4 points. cold and rainy go on regular guard tonight 6-8-12-2 off at 4:o'clock P.M. tomorrow. |
Sun - Jan. 13, '18 off guard at 4 P.M. go to Tacoma eat supper and go to the Pantages (1) good show. Write to Berniece and mail it. take a street car to Murray (2) and walk to camp got here at 1:A.M. raining quite hard. Mon - Jan. 14, '18 Lecture, drill a while go to the ware house and get out some of our equipment. more lectures but I don't have to attend. Wrote to Berniece and mailed it. sent it to the train. In Quarentine for scarlet fever. |

1: The Tacoma Pantages was one of a circuit of Vaudeville theaters in Canada and the western US created by Alexander Pantages . The Pantages that Percy visited is still an active theater as part of the Broadway Center for the Performing Arts in Tacoma.
2: Murray is a Washington National Guard camp, much older than Camp Lewis, located on American Lake.
