Sun - July 7, '18 Special detail all day painting and makeing boxes for train Headquarters left at 9 P.M. for N.Y. and spent most of the time at Coney Island. took in nearly every- thing going there, came back to N.Y. and went to a hotel and went to bed. wrote a letter to Berniece. saw statue of Liberty Mon - July 8, '18 got back to camp at Noon. layed around most of the afternoon except long enough to pack my barracks bag and weight it going to mail this to Berniece tonight.
