Thu - Dec. 20, '17 woke up by the fire call at 11:30 get up and then go to bed again, and the fire call sounded again at 2:40 stand for half an hour. sun shined most of day. set up hospital tents. Very highly complemented for our work. drew the rest of our equipment today wrote to Berniece & mailed it on the train, dont know if we can get home Sat. yet or not. We know we can't go home Xmas |
Fri - Dec. 21, '17 left camp at 7 o clock and go out to set up a field Hosp. get stuck with the trucks a couple of times. get on the wrong road, finely got headed right got there & it started to rain, set up the tents and work around in the rain until 4 o clock & then struck tents & started back. Had a big sham battle & moving pictures taken got to the Bks. at 5:30, soaked through hungry, tired, but happy. get to go home for Xmas. write to Berniece & mother and went to the train. supper at 7:15P.M. then go to bed. |
