Wed - June 13th, 1917 This day I joined the medical reserve corps of the U.S. army. Mon - July 9th, 1917 First night of our drill Drill three times a week Sun - Aug. 19th, 1917 We were ordered out at 9:35 A.M. I did not receive orders until Monday Aug 20th at 11:45 A.M. Because I was at Pacific City. With Berniece. |
Thu - Aug. 23, 1917 Went to Dundee, Ore. Sat - Aug. 25, 1917 Returned to Portland "Co." gave a dance at the Multnomah Hotel. I didn't go because Berniece couldn't go. Went home and Packed my suit case. Sun - Aug. 26, 1917 Met Keye's's and went out home and got mother. came down town met Bennetts and went out on the highway... |
