Drill all morning
swimming in P.M. Guard
tonight lots of rumors
but nothing sure
no mail from Berniece



Thu - Sept. 20, 1917
guard to 8:30
Fatigue all morning.
no mail from Berniece
P.M. Got a shot in the
arm and another
vaccination nothing
to do, arm is quite sore.
No mail.

Fri - Sept. 21, 1917
Nothing to do. Arm
is sore. got a letter
from Berniece also
a cake from Ma.
Went for a 10 mile
hike today. go on
guard duty at 4:30
answered Bernieces
letter go to bed.
