for retreat. Ate a
light supper and
went to bed early.

Mon - Sep. 3, 1917
Fitague duty all
morning drill 2 1/2 hrs
in afternoon line up
for roll call for Guard
duty. Labor day no
mail.
Tue - Sept. 4, 1917
Guard duty all
day, someone stole
my blankets.
returned them
about 10:00 o'clock
Berniece sent Picture of
us on Highway.

Wed - Sept. 5, 1917
Decorated camp
for Company from
Tacoma. Seattle's
drafted Army passed
today. got a letter
from Berniece.
Went down to the
lake Bathing and
discovered a fire, 2 of
us stayed there, and
watched the fire and
sent one back for
help. got it out alright
Thu - Sept. 6, 1917
Got a shot in the arm
this morning also
vaccinated. about 1/2
of the "Co." fainted it
made me awful sick
but I kept traveling...
