and was soon alright Went to bed sick With the grippe about 4 o'clock got excused from guard duty. started to rain. Fri - Sept. 7, 1917 Still sick, dropped a card to sis. got up for Breakfast and went to bed again and still it rains ate dinner in bed today and still it rains ate supper in Bed it never rains but it pours Sar. Crowe has gone to Portland tonight. |
Sat - Sept. 8, 1917 got up for Breakfast and went back to bed. feel a little better 9 A.M. inspection best tent in camp Put Cornry all acting Sarg. while Crowe is away. Sun shining nice & warm. Got out of bed and wrote two letters. Went to Tacoma with Com Wall in the evening took in a show Bought a sheet of music for Berniece got home about 11:30. 2 men in the guard house tonight for quitting their post. |
